About Me

My name is Beverly Williams, and I am running to be the next Mayor of Tucker because I care deeply about the future of our city and the community we have built together.

For more than 30 years, Tucker has thrived as a vibrant, welcoming place—long before it was officially incorporated. What makes Tucker special are its people: the residents, families, and small businesses who have poured their time, energy, and love into shaping this community. My vision is to honor their contributions while building a future where Tucker continues to thrive for generations to come.

Why I’m Running

I am not just a constituent of Tucker—I’ve been present and engaged, attending 85% of city meetings and spending time among the people who call Tucker home. Because of this, I understand the concerns, hopes, and history that shape our community.

I believe Tucker must return to the strong foundations that have carried us this far: community, connection, and shared responsibility. Our schools, youth programs, and local organizations have flourished thanks to families and neighbors who believe in supporting each other. I want to protect and strengthen these opportunities for the next generation.

Leadership starts with listening. Our community deserves to be heard not just during election season, but always. I’ve sat in meetings, walked our neighborhoods, and spoken with residents from all walks of life. I know what matters to you because I’ve made it my business to listen.

Decisions should be made with honesty and clarity. You deserve to know how your city operates, with no hidden agendas.
Protect Our Neighborhoods
I support maintaining single-family homes, promoting townhomes and ownership opportunities, and limiting unnecessary apartment expansion to preserve Tucker’s character.
Invest in Youth & Schools
I will partner with families, schools, Scouts, sports programs, and community groups to keep Tucker’s young people thriving.
Honor Tucker’s Roots
Preserving the traditions, small businesses, and community spirit that built Tucker is key to our identity and future.
Smart, Balanced Growth
I support responsible development aligned with our city’s character and needs. The comprehensive plan should reflect the values of Tucker residents.
Support FLOST to Help Lower Property Taxes
The Forsyth-Lumpkin Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (FLOST) is a valuable tool to fund essential community projects while helping reduce the burden on property taxes. I am committed to ensuring FLOST funds are used responsibly, transparently, and effectively for the benefit of all Tucker residents.
